UCI CalRHT TNT IHOPE and MBH Fellowship Application
Ends on
In partnership with University of California (UC) Irvine Office of Medical Education, the CalRHT program will develop, prepare, and deliver two Train New Trainers (TNT) programs. These programs are intended to expand California’s healthcare workforce capacity through structured training models with an emphasis on prevention, wellness, and behavioral health. The programs will incorporate the nationally recognized TNT model to develop a sustainable, statewide network of trained clinical “champions” who will support ongoing workforce development and long-term learning.
The two programs are:
- IHOPE, which focuses on geriatric behavioral health skills for primary care providers.
- Maternal Behavioral Health (MBH), which emphasizes expanding maternal behavioral health skills for California's maternal health workforce.
To be considered for a scholarship, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Eligible participants include, but are not limited to, DOs, MDs, NPs, PAs, and PharmDs.
- IHOPE participants will have a background in the basic and clinical medical sciences, for which the IHOPE behavioral health and general medical curriculum will be based.
- To be eligible for participation, individuals must practice in rural facilities or serve rural communities in California, as defined by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
We are committed to supporting applicants throughout the application process and encourage you to reach out with any questions. Questions regarding the application or submission process may be directed to info@calruralhealth.org.
The program is subject to funding availability.
The CalRHT program is supported by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as part of a financial assistance award totaling $233,639,308.46 with 100 percent funded by CMS/HHS.
